BooBoo Here...
My favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is when my mom loads the dishwasher! I am her helper and I make sure all of the plates are "pre-washed". Yummo! Speaking of holiday dinner, those of you who deep fry your turkey should know where to recycle that grease when you are done.

Here is the scoop:
Day After Thanksgiving Grease Collection and Recycling Event
East: O'Reilly Chevrolet
Northwest: Industrial Wastewater Control
South: Tucson Water Plant #2

With Green Holiday Greetings Again This Year!

Temco Air's  "less waste, more impact" tradition continues this holiday season. In lieu of sending holiday cards to 1500+ of our friends, clients, and family, we "adopt a family" and apply our holiday card budget to fulfilling the wishes of our adopted family.
We remind friends, clients, and family that
we are thankful for them, and that they won't be receiving holiday cards from Temco because we have "adopted a family" on their behalf.
This tradition means we are less wasteful (no cards are purchased, no paper wasted, no money wasted on postage), and it is more meaningful for us all to be able to provide for a family that otherwise would not have much of a holiday celebration.

Tucson's Buy Local Day
 Friday, November 27

Great Deals at Local Businesses the entire week!
Why buy local? Because for each dollar you spend at a local business 45 cents stays in the community; whereas, only 13 cents of your dollar remains when that dollar is spent at a chain. This year as you do your holiday shopping we encourage  you to shop locally!

This year's Buy Local Day in Tucson is bigger than ever, with your favorite locally-owned businesses running specials for you along with numerous block party events!  Take advantage of the great deals offered by local merchants and much more of your money will stay in the Tucson community than if you spent it at a national chain.  Now that's smart shopping!
For info on festivities and GREAT DEALS offered by local businesses from Nov 27 - Dec 4. click here...

fruit
Did you know that those little stickers on your fruit actually tell you something about that fruit? Here's the scoop:

Look for the PLU codes on the labels stuck on your fruits and veggies.
A four-digit number means it's conventionally grown.
A five-digit number beginning with 9 means it's organic.
A five-digit number beginning with 8 means it's genetically modified.
