MONEY SAVING TIPS
1) To prolong the freshness of celery, wrap it in tin foil. I just learned this recently, and decided to test it before I passed it along to you. IT WORKS! Tossing out limp celery is not only a waste of money, but an inconvenience. So I started telling folks about this and, guess what.... THEY ALREADY KNEW IT! Why didn't someone bother to tell me? So now I am sharing this with you in case you are celery-challenged like me. Also works great with radishes, green onions, and other produce.
2) Did you know fabric softeners clog your clothes dryer lint trap? Especially if you use the dryer sheet style. If you have a removable lint trap, take it out and hold the mesh screen under running water. If the water has trouble passing through the mesh, that means your dryer is having trouble getting air to pass through it as well. This could shorten the life of your dryer. Take a very soft brush and a mild detergent and clean your lint screen. Let it air dry completely and you are set to go. | |
